Competition Team

Being a member of a performing and competing Company is the best way to excel in your dancing. Having many performances, and competitions in sight, makes a dancer become more aggressive in their training. The more experience they get performing and competing , the more confidence they show in their dancing. The friendships and feelings of accomplishment, and true meaning of commitment they walk away with are priceless lessons learned early in life. We teach them how to work together, how to build each other up, how to mentor someone, and how to see the ending result. Yes we will also have a lot of fun doing exactly what we love.....DANCING !


Dance Evolutions Dance Company Member Selection
*Students who progress through hard work

Placement for groups and Solos
*Age categories
*Level of dance in each form (ballet, jazz, etc)
*Animation
*Commitment
*Soloists must audition to  do a solo and take Private Lessons for choreography, and Maintenance.

Fund Raising
* All company members will participate in 4 fund raisers. (this not only helps the team, but builds camaraderie).
* More events will be planned for those who NEED to raise funds.

Team Requirements

 Class Load:
*Ages 10 and under - Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop  Company (5) Classes per week
 *Ages 11 and up - 2 Ballet, Tap, Jazz, 1 elective, and Company (5) Classes per week
* No more than 4 excused absences per year for company rehearsals.
*Monthly tuition + 250 per year (dues) or 25.00 per month
 
Mandatory 2 week intensive;
 1st 2 weeks in June …
See summer camp info. This intensive is where we learn our choreography for the new season, build relationships as a team, and pick up a lot of technique, and choose costumes.

*Two to Three hour Team rehearsals will be held twice a week, on Saturdays, and once a week on their class schedule.
* Must maintain a C or above average in school
* Set an example for other Students
* Have full family support

*Must be able to attend ALL 3 Competitions,workshops, and Master Classes, and Camps

2008-09 Competition Schedule includes:

Florida Dance Masters- Orlando,  Thanksgiving weekend

N.Y.C.D.A - Orlando, Last weekend in January

ShowStoppers- Lakeland, May

2008-09 Dance Team has already been selected, auditions for 2009-2010 will be in the spring after the May Competition.
