Description of class levels;

First Steps- ages 3-5 A combo class of either Ballet/Tap, or Ballet/Jazz. Learning about rhythms, basic movements, positions, and developmental motor skills. This allows the children to be creative, yet still learn the structure of  being in class.

Beginner ages 5-8- These are fundamental classes of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Tumble. Children will be introduced to the basics of all dances, vocabulary, and body awareness. Children. Most children will spend 2-3 years in this level before advancing to the next level.

Beginner ages 8-10- Students are still learning fundamentals of dance, vocabulary, and body awareness, and combining and remembering floor progressions. Classes progress a little faster in this level, as children spent 2 previous years dancing. Children will spend 2-3 years in this level before progressing to the next level.

Intermediate/Advanced 1- ages 9-13- students are expected to have a good dance vocabulary at this point. They will be expected to be more disciplined in class, and have a pretty good work ethic, and be able to take corections and apply them in class. They will be expected to strech on their own, and flexibility, and strength must progress. Classes will move at a faster pace because the children are expected to have a firm grasp on the basics of dance. Students will spend 2-3 years in this level to progress.

Intermediate / Advanced 2- ages 13+ - Classes move at a rapid pace. Students should have had several years of dance, and discipline in their given genres. Combinations are set at aahectic pace to build endurance and strength for advanced classes. Flexability and strength should be very competitive at this level. Strong Ballet background is required. Students may spend 2-3 years at this level to progress.

Intermediate 2 ages 13+ - This is a beginner/Intermediate class for teens who have started dance later in life. This is a technique driven class to get them into more advanced classes for their age group. It is taught at a medium pace, since the students are older they will grasp the fundamentals quicker. This level is meant to encourage confidence in teens who wish to progress in thier dancing, and not be stuck in classes with young children.

Advanced- 13+ -  Classes are taught at a hectic pace. Technique should be very strong at this point. Students should be very focused in classes and have full body awareness, and full understanding of the basic building blocks of dance. This class fine tunes the dancers, getting them ready to achieve their goals in the dance world. Flexability, and strength should be peaking at this point.

***Please note, the ages are just a guide line for classes, children may be in different levels for different styles of dance. Your child will be put in a class based on skill set and potential....not age.***
