Spring is here and hopefully this month the weather will warm up a bit!! As you can see we have a busy month ahead of us! Please check your calendars and mark them accordingly, so you can keep up with all the excitement!
Saturday March 6th is our Dance Teams' Show. Tickets are $15.00, they will perform all team dances and solos, duets etc. Food and drink are available after the performance. We will also be performing at the Fine Arts Festival in Tarpon at Craig Park on the 27th from 10:00-11:30, come on out and support us!
After Spring Break is over costumes will be handed out to the students in their classes. Please check to make sure they have all their pieces, and make a check list on a note card and stick it in the bag, so you know you have all the pieces. It is recommended that you hang it up immediately, and if alterations are needed please schedule the appointment with your seamstress when you get the costume, as May will creep up on you, for picture week.
The volunteer book is out. We are doing things a little differently this year with volunteers. We need 2 class Moms from each class of the D-2 and Lower classes to volunteer either Wed. and Fri.; or Thurs. and Sat. you cannot watch the show the night you volunteer. We are splitting up dressing room volunteers between 1st act and 2nd act. If your child is in First Steps Through F-2 we need you in dressing room C for the 1st act. If your child is In D-1 or D-2 we need you in dressing room C for the 2nd Act. If your child is in a D-3-P-2 Level we need 1 monitor per 2 days for Dressing Room A&B and 1 for the Boys. You will just sit in the dressing room, or outside if it's A or B and just be there if anyone needs help, or help to quiet the noise. It seems like a small job but we need the help backstage. We also need runners, People for check-in and check-out (very important job, and Dads are great for check out!). We also need help the night of the shows, for ticket sales, concession, ushers, and hall monitors. All volunteers as well as semester tuition, and auto payees will be allowed early purchase of tickets. Volunteer jobs mustn't be taken lightly, as if you fail to show for your position our show CAN NOT run smoothly!!
Again attendance is crucial to the progress of the classes ability to move forward in choreography for the show. If your child misses 2 consecutive classes it is up to the teacher to have your child take private lessons to catch them up. We will not hold the classes progress up for missed classes. Please check with your child's teacher if absences occur. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
If your child has switched classes during the year or dropped any, please check the costume book to see if your child's name is on the roster for all their classes. Mistakes can be made due to class switching, and we want to make sure all children get their costumes. Thank you so much for all your cooperation ! Happy March!
