Diana Reichardt has been dancing since the age of 3. She went to Florida School of the Arts on full scholarship based on talent, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with an AS Degree in Modern and Ballet. She then Danced Professionally with Southern Ballet Theatre in Orlando from 1993-97. She injured her back and moved back to the Tampa bay area. She began teaching ballroom dancing in 1999, and from 2002- 2006 Diana Competed with Michael Luciano in American Rhythm, and remained in the top 5 in the South Eastern US. In 2005 she opened her own Dance studio Dance Evolutions in Tarpon Springs, Fl. She has over 200 kids dancing in her studio, and has had her students accepted to Joffery Ballet (on Scholarship) ABT,Harrid Conservatory,
The Rock School of Ballet, Alvin Ailey, and sent 4 students back to Florida School of the Arts.(1student on full scholarship), and FSU's Dance Program (selected to be in their prestigous dance company). Diana is a member of Florida Dance Masters a very prestigous organization, that only gives memberships that require extensive testing for certifications in dance, along with her dance degree.Diana has been looking for a Theatre Arts partner for many years and is thrilled to have been introduced to her partner Carson, and ready for a new adventure in Dance!
Carson Humphries comes from a line of Ballroom Dancers, as well as being a US Navy Vet, and a NPC competitive Ameture body builder, he is the 3rd generation of his family, with over 20 years combined dancing and professional experience. He is trained under the Fred Astaire, and Arthur Murray systems of dance, as well as several Icons in the Ballroom dance world such as Linda Dean, Donna Smith, Larry Silvers, Frank Rentz, Shirley Johnson, Rema and Alan Williams, and Ron Willaims, have been some of the few to inspire Carson. Carson has worked for the Williams family since their retirement, and were the 1st family inducted into the Ballroom Hall of Fame in 2009. He competed American Rhythm professionally from 1995-96. Carson recently met Diana Reichardt through Tommy Ditomasso in October of 2009, then began working with former US Campions Jerry and Virgina LeNoir, undefeated world Champion Michael Chapman, and World Champions Victor DaSilva and Hanna Karttunen.
Carson and Diana debuted as finalists at the Millenium Dancesport in 2010 coming in 5th Place, Florida State Dancesport Championships they placed 3rd Place in Rising Star , and 7th in Open . They recently placed 8th in the United States and 9th in the World in the United States ballroom dance Championships in September all of this only after working together as a professional couple for 6 months. Carson and Diana just won 1st Place at the Hollywood Dancesport Theatre Arts Divison in California, and will be c ompeting at Ohio Star Ball in November. We will Keep you updated on our Rankings!
